Our Founder

I’m Stephanie, founder of Mindful Movement Pilates. My passion for health and wellness began long before Mindful Movement Pilates opened its doors. With more than 15 years in women’s health, I’ve had the privilege of caring for and supporting women through some of the most meaningful seasons of their lives.

I began my healthcare career in 2010 as a Labor and Delivery Nurse. After seven years at the bedside, I earned my Master of Science in Nursing and became an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse specializing as a Certified Nurse-Midwife.

Throughout my career, one belief has continued to shape my approach to wellness: health is best approached holistically. True well-being isn’t defined by one workout or one habit, but by the many ways we care for our bodies and minds each day.

That philosophy is what drew me to Pilates.

I love the way Pilates brings together mindful movement, intentional breathing, strength, stability, flexibility, and body awareness. It challenges the body while encouraging us to slow down, focus, and move with purpose.

At Mindful Movement Pilates, we believe Pilates is one meaningful part of a bigger wellness picture—one that also includes weight-bearing exercise, everyday movement, mindfulness, time outdoors, restorative sleep, nourishing habits including a variety of fresh whole foods, and making space to simply slow down.

Just as important is community. I created Mindful Movement Pilates to be more than a place to work out. My hope is that it becomes a space where you feel welcomed, connected, encouraged, and genuinely supported—a place where familiar faces become friends and caring for yourself doesn’t feel like something you have to do alone.

Whether you’re stepping into a Pilates studio for the first time or building on an established practice, I hope you leave feeling stronger, more connected to your body, and more like yourself.

Most importantly, I hope this studio serves as a reminder to make time for you.

Move with intention. Breathe deeply. Build strength. Create balance. Find community.

I look forward to welcoming you to Mindful Movement Pilates in Minooka and being part of your wellness journey.
